Supporting Regulation, Independence, and Social Participation

Where Life Actually Happens

Community and Home Based Occupational Therapy Services

We provide personalized, real-world occupational therapy that supports regulation, independence, and social growth. Through individual sessions, small groups, and caregiver support, we help neurodivergent individuals build skills that matter in a persons natural environments.

Our Mission:

Balance Point Therapy exists to support meaningful progress where it matters most—at home, in the community, and in relationships—by fostering independence, self-regulation, and authentic social connection.

Vision Statement:

At Balance Point OT, we envision a world where neurodivergent children, teens, and adults confidently navigate daily life, social interactions, and community participation. Through individualized, neurodiversity-affirming occupational therapy, we focus on real-world skill-building, regulation, independence, and caregiver alignment—helping progress extend beyond the therapy session and into everyday life.

Real-Life Support. Real Growth. Real Connection.

“If we want people to reach their potential, we must help them believe they are capable.”
Carol Dweck

At Balance Point OT, I believe anything is possible. We empower individuals to grow, gain confidence, and turn everyday challenges into opportunities; helping them reach their fullest potential, one step at a time.

  • Ashley Lawton, MS, OTR/L, is an occupational therapist with experience supporting children, teens, and adults across school, home, and community settings. We created Balance Point OT to offer therapy that feels practical, respectful, and truly connected to everyday life.

  • Our approach bridges the gap between therapy goals and real-world success. Sessions are individualized, collaborative, and grounded in natural environments where skills are actually used—at home, in the community, and within relationships. We focus on building independence, emotional regulation, and social confidence through functional, strengths-based strategies that support lasting progress, not just short-term gains.

  • We focus on working with children, teens, and adults who benefit from support with daily living skills, social participation, self-regulation, and community engagement. Many of the individuals and families we support are looking for therapy that extends beyond the clinic and helps skills generalize into real life—school, work, friendships, and everyday routines.
